Greetings
I'm planning to combine NZCC101 and NZCC102 together, to create a character and expand it between these two paper. So for the animation paper, show them doing a 30 second performance and in the digital paper/portfolio, make the posters for the performances, the main character connecting with his creations (the creatures that come out of his cards), basically making the audience feel more connected to him and feel like they are in his world.
So I hope to create a character where the audience might feel on edge but later through the animation and the portfolio that I'll create learn that this person is a kind heart person, and they shouldn't judge a creature by their appearance.
Here is the concept rough drawings I did to put my idea on paper for these two papers.
19th of July, thinking to sketch what I like to do, just to get idea on paper. Got heavily inspired by The Greatest Showman, with the colour platte and the clothing items. Will expand more of the clothes and the colour later as I do want to make it more original and more standing out.
I did gray scale it to see the colour contrast and it isn't that bad of a colour contrast, but will work more on that, especially the jacket, the main body and the cuffs, and the hair with the skull.
Later that night of 19th of July.
... Okay I change my mind. I probably shouldn't but because my partner is reintroducing D&D (Dungeon and Dragons) with his own world but we, as the players, can keep our old characters from our last D&D session with our last DM (Dungeon Master, ie the god of the world). I would like to do my animation and digital paper on my old character. So the plan is every Friday we'll have a D&D session and through these sessions I'll also be studying by expanding her character and figure out the 30 second animation.
Here is my sketches of her, her name is Lerissa.
I did design her before but I don't know where I put that drawing, which annoys me but I still have the mini figure of her from our last sessions, so that'll help me with the proportions and stance.
Here is the mini figure which was made on the website called Hero Forge (heroforge.com) which I made last year (2019) around about November.
Hero Forge is a website created for people that need/want their personalized character as a mini figure for strategy games. After creating your character, you can choose to 3D print it yourself or get them to print it off and send it to you. I got them to print mine out as I would like it to be professionally printed so you can see all the details.
I might use this website to help me get her poses as it is a good 3D 360 view of her, but will diffidently make her design much more simpler.
This is the simpler version of her that I use Hero Forge to get her pose.
This is 3rd of August and looking through my old sketches I found my original design of Lerissa.
So as you can tell I redesign her much more simpler for animation.
