History - 2000's/My Era

Greetings

Friday 17th of July 2020

Okay, to be honest have no clue what I'll be doing. Kathryn (lovely tutor) did suggest why don't I do something on the animation, so I might do something on the idea of the animation on YouTube. So like people that do life-stories, mini-storyboards or animatics/animation for music videos. How the underdogs, people that were just sketching at home getting hundreds of subscribers. Also for about 3 years I've been thinking my own animatics, either stories I've experienced or music videos or some stories I made up, but been too shy and anxious to do anything, maybe this is my chance do to something?

I would like to talk about a few animators on YouTube I have huge respect for, these people would be either very famous people with millions of subscribers and some people that I found randomly and wish more people subscribe to them.

Here is a list of some of the Youtubers I have huge respect to:

Yamz Animatics - Rough Animation, usually Music Videos
181 Thousand Subscribers

Szin - Storyboard Animatics, Music Videos and Fictional Story
621 Thousand Subscribers

SomeThingElseYT - Story-time Animation, Writes and produces own Music/Music Videos
3.54 Million Subscribers

Dingo Doodles - Dungeons and Dragons Mini Stories and Story-time animation
614 Thousand Subscribers
Ruebharb - Speed Drawings and Animatics (very fan involvement)
19.8 Thousand Subscribers

GinjaNinjaOwO - Story-time Animation, Fictional stories, Animation helper (works for other people), Planning to get their own studio.
924 Thousand Subscribers

JoCat - Crap Guide to Dungeons and Dragons, also does game play (not animation)
634 Thousand Subscribers

TheAMaazing - Australian Story-time Animator.
744 Thousand Subscribers

Looking at the subscribe count I'm surprise that people that I thought is the underdogs, were actually quite up there in the famous animators.

The Subscriber count is taken on the 17th of July 2020, information on their YouTube profile.

I might have to cut down on who I can talk about as they are all amazing animators and describing all of them might take until Christmas to finish. So I'll pick four or fives of them.

So I'll pick, JoCat, SomeThingElse YT, Yamz Animatics, Szin and Dingo Doodles.

So before I continue, some of these artist do use songs that aren't their for their videos, like Szin and Yamz Animation for their music videos, so I'm sure how I'll get around that for this paper.

Yesterday (23rd of July) we present our presentations, I did mine about animation on Youtube.

I did add another animator to the list, Katzun as they are an animator that went through the transition of different types of art.

here is mine:
