Professional Practices - Blogging

Greetings.

Wednesday 8th of July 2020

Today in Professional Practices we started blogging, as I haven't done this before. In past I have written down ideas (more like scribble down ideas, an example of my notes are shown below) and how I have done it, but never done it professional and on this website, Blogger.

So far James Wilkinson, the tutor of this subject, explained what we have to blog about, what we done in class and out of class, how to improve or what we done well, where we got information from and how we what to be perceived as our branding.

Before I go into that I'll search up how to professionally blog as my scribbles isn't really "professional" and I believe I'm the only one that can read them.

The first website I came across is;
https://www.instructables.com/id/Creating-a-Blog-using-Bloggercom/

The title of article is called, Creating a Blog Using Blogger.com
Creator named, MKFogel.

This website has step-by-step instructions to what and how to use Blogger. First glance it seems to be outdated as the photos referencing seem like the older version of Blogger, but reading through it and comparing it to modern Blogger, yet seems like it has correct information.

Reading through it, personally I don't like the layout, reasons the bullet points is numbered which reading through most of it seem like you have to read it in order. Some of the step-by-step numbered, makes sense, for example Step 1, Signing Up for Blogger, but when comes to Step 6, Using the Post Settings Menu, I don't see the reason for number bullet point. Maybe to state which each point from top to bottom but I think it'll be better just regular bullet points would work.

Other than that, reading the article it seems that this program is like Microsoft Word, and the more you use the program and writing you do the more you learn. So it's like, if you tell a kid how to ride a bike, they wouldn't understand until you get them to ride the bike.

(Note to self, do daily blogs, you'll remember more from lesson)

So my plan for blogger is treat it like my note pad, but much more neater .... and more formal.... So throughout these blogs I'll scan some of my notebook sketches and go into more depths and clarity through each "posted note". While doing that, will be questioning myself to why I would do it this way, or what would make things better or what did I done well, try to keep questioning what I done to make myself be better as an artist.

Homework: research video Blog, how would you like to be imaged.
