Animation and Digital - Research for my Character

Greetings

James (Professional Practice Tutor) suggested that I should do more research of this character, like what her race is and class, to expand her as a character. Also maybe I should find artist that draws tieflings as they are mythical creatures. While doing that I can find more artist references would help as well to improve in these papers.

I will use Wizards of the Coast information to use in this research as they are control the lore and rules of D&D (Dungeon ans Dragons). Even though we can make anything out for D&D, we do need some sort of laws and rules while playing it to be fair.

So my character is Lerissa, a tiefling bard that is chaotic good. Will explain more of each diffination later through blog.

Tiefling:

Tiefling

"MUTUAL MISTRUST

People tend to be suspicious of tieflings, assuming that their infernal heritage has left its mark on their personality and morality, not just their appearance. Shopkeepers keep a close eye on their goods when tieflings enter their stores, the town watch might follow a tiefling around for a while, and demagogues blame tieflings for strange happenings. The reality, though, is that a tiefling’s bloodline doesn’t affect his or her personality to any great degree. Years of dealing with mistrust does leave its mark on most tieflings, and they respond to it in different ways. Some choose to live up to the wicked stereotype, but others are virtuous. Most are simply very aware of how people respond to them. After dealing with this mistrust throughout youth, a tiefling often develops the ability to overcome prejudice through charm or intimidation." - D&D Beyond

The reason why I quote this is to show that tieflings aren't society acceptable, they are untrustworthy because of their appearance compared to devil and demons. Also because they are distrusting towards society, some try and prove wrong society but some just choose to live the way society believes they are.

An example in real life society is the African Americans and immigrants, they don't look like demons or devils, but because they don't look like most of the white population and are compared to be doing evil or being a hassle to society.

When creating my character I liked the idea of a stereotype and of her fighting it to prove them wrong. She believes that all demon like creatures could be good and if other doesn't believe in demonic stereotype she can have a some sort of bond towards them.

Also my original thought of tieflings were of creatures that were born with a human (or other humanoid races) parent and other parent of a demon/devil. So I created her in a family caravan, which she thought was just her family, loving and caring, but near her 18th birthday she found out what is going to happen to her when she turns 18. Her family is going to sucfice her to their god (demon), for it to inhabit her body.
